Bern Series Handwoven Braided Rug – Beige (Beige)

The Bern Series Handwoven Rug combines durability and comfort with its blend of wool and polyester. With a 10 mm pile height and a weight of 4200 g/m², this series has a substantial, full-bodied structure and highlights modern simplicity with its braided woven surface; it adds a timeless touch to spaces such as living rooms, lounges, and bedrooms. This variant comes in a warm, neutral beige tone.

What Is a Wool Rug?

Wool is a natural fiber obtained from animals such as sheep. Thanks to its warmth, natural elasticity, and durability, it is one of the most preferred fibers in rug making; it softens footsteps and adds a warm feeling to any space. In the Bern Series, wool is blended with polyester. This blend combines wool's natural warmth and softness with polyester's durability and shape retention, resulting in a comfortable and long-lasting rug. Bern's 10 mm pile height and 4200 g/m² weight allow this blend to be felt as a substantial, full-bodied, and durable surface.

The Balance of Naturalness and Durability

  • Material: Wool and Polyester Blend
  • Weaving Type: Handwoven
  • Pile Height: 10 mm – substantial and comfortable structure
  • Weight per M²: 4200 g – dense and durable surface
  • Color: Beige

Why the Bern Series?

The key features that make the Bern Series stand out for everyday use are:

  1. Braided Weave Detail: A visually striking, simple, and richly textured structure
  2. Natural Color Tone: Its beige tone complements any décor
  3. High Weight: Dense and sturdy weaving at 4200 g/m²
  4. Handcrafted: Every expertly woven rug is unique
  5. Wide Range of Uses: A stylish look in living rooms, lounges, and bedrooms

An Elegant Touch with Natural Softness

The Bern Series offers long-lasting use with the warmth of wool and the durability of polyester. Thanks to its braided form, it stands out not only as a functional piece but also as a decorative element. It offers a refined alternative for users who appreciate simplicity.

How Should the Bern Rug Be Cleaned?

Bern Series wool and polyester blend rugs should only be washed by professional rug-cleaning companies. The mixed-fiber structure combining wool and polyester, along with the 10 mm pile height, can damage the fibers' shape and texture when washed at home or cleaned with excessive water. For this reason, leaving deep cleaning to a professional rug-cleaning service is the safest way to preserve your rug's texture and extend its lifespan.

The Bern Series handwoven braided rug is available in the following sizes:

Protect Your Rug’s Elegance
A careful care routine should be adopted to preserve the original splendor and silky texture of Carpetdocia’s handwoven, natural-fiber creations—pieces that add value to your living space—for generations to come.

Immediate Action and Liquid Spills
When a liquid is spilled, timing is the most critical factor. Using a clean, slightly damp cloth, remove the liquid from the surface by gently blotting only—never rub. Always work in the direction of the rug’s pile (the natural direction in which the fibers lie). Rubbing can damage the structure of delicate fibers such as TENCEL™ and viscose. If in doubt, stop immediately.

Routine Care and Light Balance
For your weekly cleaning routine, always use vacuum cleaners with low suction power. High-powered upright vacuums and stiff brushes can damage the natural structure of handwoven yarns. To balance the natural fibers’ reaction to light and prevent uneven color changes (fading), we recommend changing the direction of your rug every 2 to 6 months.

Expert Care (Professional Cleaning)
Delicate materials such as handwoven fibers, TENCEL™, viscose, and New Zealand wool should not come into contact with household chemical cleaners. These products can irreversibly damage the rug’s silky sheen and structural integrity. For deep cleaning, seek assistance only from professional rug-care centers specializing in natural fibers.

Washing Instructions
The delicate pieces in the Carpetdocia collections are not suitable for machine washing due to their construction. (Only specific models clearly marked “Washable” in their names may be washed in household machines using a low-temperature, delicate cycle.)
