Bern Series Handwoven Knitted Rug – Grey

The Bern Series Handwoven Rug combines durability and comfort with a wool and polyester blend. With a 10 mm pile height and a weight of 4200 gr/m², this series features a dense and plush texture. Its knitted woven surface highlights modern simplicity, adding a timeless touch to spaces like living rooms, lounges, and bedrooms. This variant comes in a neutral grey tone.

What Is a Wool Rug?

Wool is a natural fiber obtained from animals such as sheep. It is one of the most preferred fibers in rug making due to its warmth, natural elasticity, and durability; it softens footsteps and adds a warm feeling to the space. In the Bern Series, wool is blended with polyester. This mix combines the natural warmth and softness of wool with the durability and shape retention of polyester, resulting in a rug that is both comfortable and long-lasting. Bern’s 10 mm pile height and 4200 gr/m² weight ensure this blend feels dense, plush, and durable.

Balance of Naturalness and Strength

  • Material: Wool and Polyester Blend
  • Weaving Type: Handwoven
  • Pile Height: 10 mm – dense and comfortable texture
  • Weight per m²: 4200 gr – dense and durable surface
  • Color: Grey

Why Choose the Bern Series?

The key features that make the Bern Series stand out for daily use are:

  1. Knitted Weaving Detail: Visually strong, simple, and rich in tactile texture
  2. Natural Color Tone: Grey tone that suits any decor
  3. High Weight: Dense and sturdy weaving with 4200 gr/m²
  4. Handcrafted: Each rug is uniquely woven with craftsmanship
  5. Wide Usage Areas: Elegant presence in living rooms, lounges, and bedrooms

Elegant Touch with Natural Softness

The Bern Series offers long-lasting use with the warmth of wool and the durability of polyester. Thanks to its knitted form, it stands out not only as a functional but also as a decorative element. It provides a refined alternative for users who appreciate simplicity.

How to Clean Bern Rugs?

Bern Series wool and polyester blend rugs should only be cleaned by professional rug cleaning companies. The mixed fiber structure of wool and polyester combined with the 10 mm pile height can damage the fibers’ shape and texture if washed at home or cleaned with plenty of water. Therefore, leaving deep cleaning to an expert rug cleaning service is the safest way to preserve your rug’s texture and longevity.

Protect Elegance
A delicate care routine should be adopted to preserve the original splendor and silky texture of handwoven and natural fiber Carpetdocia pieces that add value to your living space for generations.

Immediate Action and Liquid Contact
Timing is the most critical factor in case of possible liquid spills. Use a clean, slightly damp cloth to gently blot the liquid from the surface without rubbing. Always perform this action in the direction of the carpet’s nap (the natural direction of the fibers). Rubbing can damage the shape of delicate fibers like TENCEL™ and viscose. Stop the intervention immediately if you have any doubts.

Routine Care and Light Balance
Always prefer vacuum cleaners with low suction power in your weekly cleaning routine. High-powered upright vacuums and stiff brushes can damage the natural structure of handwoven yarns. To balance the reaction of natural fibers to light and prevent regional tone differences (fading), we recommend changing the orientation of your carpet every 2 to 6 months.

Expert Touch (Professional Cleaning)
Noble textures such as handwoven, TENCEL™, viscose, and New Zealand wool should not come into contact with household chemical cleaners. These products can irreversibly damage the silky shine and structural integrity of the carpet. For deep cleansing, support should be sought only from professional carpet care centers specialized in natural fibers.

Washing Instructions
Delicate pieces in the Carpetdocia collections are not suitable for machine washing due to their structure. (Only specific models clearly labeled "Washable" in their name can be washed in household machines on a low heat and delicate cycle.)
